Feminism? No! Humanism!

When humanity fails, extremism comes into existence and thus extremist words such as Feminist get formed in a society.
So how humanity fails? When exactly humanity fails?
When a population is divisive or when it can get parted, the reason for such a division and the stronger portion of such parted population becomes oppressive on the other minor population and hence, humanity fails when discrimination starts!
After all, the ego is a part of human nature!
So let me tell you what made me speak about humanity. People ask me if I’m a feminist. I never answered. I thought it’s a harsh term. Now I boldly say it’s not feminism. Just an extremism of humanity!
Let me narrate my experience for this write-up.[
I'm in search of a job. I'm a fresher. I started attending interviews a month back. I attended around 4-5 interviews.[G5]
My first interview went well. I got selected to round 2. I cleared my technical round where I was informed that I would work in night shift for which I said I will confirm within a day’s time. They said they will call me back but I didn’t receive any.
My Second interview with another company was a wonderful experience where HR asked me what's my marriage plans as I'm unmarried and in the age of marriage as per the society. I said not for a year. When I asked for the reason, she said people get married and quit a job that's why. My peer who was "HE" attended the same interview and "HE" was not questioned about his marriage plans![G6]
The third interview… sorry! Call for an interview was not made because I’m a girl and I won’t work after office timings and that I won’t stay late at night to complete work during peak hours.
The next job required an employee who is willing to go outstation. Though I was willing, the job required an HE who is willing to go outstation.[G7]
My next interview called me to sign a bond to work for a year. Then, I came to know that bond was only for female employees because they may quit the job after marriage.[G8]
 I agree.
But I need an answer to following questions
  • 1. What's the probability that a guy won't quit a job for a better pay? Wouldn't he quit a job if he needs to do higher education? What's the reason behind avoiding a female employee just because she might quit the job after her marriage?[G10]
  • 2.  Why should I work after my office timings?  Is it my fault to refuse working after my office time or the inefficiency of the employer to recruit the adequate number of personal considering the amount of work?[G11]
  • 3.  Though I don't have a problem working after office hours it's the [G12] late night fear for any girl that makes her feel unsafe to stay late at night after work hours. Is that her negligence to work or the society that had created an unsafe atmosphere for her?[G13]
  • 4.  Even if the society is unsafe why am I going to fear to stay late at night or travel outstation if the employer takes care of my safety issues?[G14]

A single question sums up the total issue.
Why is the society making me feel insecure and hence inferior?
I undoubtedly know these questions cannot be answered.
But, let’s raise questions!
As a famous quote reads,
"Let us[G15]  scream so that one day a hundred years from now, another sister will not have to dry her tears wondering where in history she lost her voice”!
